Jay Kapoor is a VC Investor at LaunchCapital and focuses on sourcing and evaluating new investments across industry verticals. Previously, he was a VC Investor at Madison Square Garden’s corporate venture and innovation team, where he focused on sourcing and investing in the innovative companies and visionary founders driving the future of live entertainment.

Over his career, he has worked closely with sports, digital media, consumer technology and commerce companies, including at Techstars’ NYC accelerator, where he helped over 25 early-stage teams in various operating and advisory capacities.

Prior to Techstars, Jay helped build MESA/Houlihan Lokey’s sector coverage in sports and live entertainment. His clients included WGT Media, FanDuel, NEP Broadcasting, Brooklyn Bowl, and the Pro Bowling Association. Previously, Jay worked at the National Football League on corporate strategy, financial planning, and business development initiatives for the 2012 – 2014 NFL seasons.

Jay graduated in 2010 with a degree in Finance from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University.
